Establishing Comprehensive Cancer Patient Education Programs: Standards of Practice
The Guidelines provide cancer patient educators with a basic overview of the cancer patient education landscape, definitions, standards, pressing issues and recommendations regarding effective strategies to organize and structure patient education services, as well as assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate cancer patient education in a variety of settings. The Guidelines are based on a systematic review of the literature, best practices, and the expertise of its project members. (Updated in November 2014!)


Creating and Managing a Cancer Learning Resource Center
This manual is intended to be used as a resource for institutions that are considering the development of a cancer learning resource center. Members from the Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN) Learning Resource Center Committee offer practical guidance for creating, organizing, managing and evaluating a cancer learning resource center for patients, their families and public consumers.
